Essential storage is needed for the app to work and does not need consent. Until you accept analytics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization are always off, and we use no advertising or social-media cookies.
Base44 product analytics: the same "Accept analytics" choice also covers usage events our app platform Base44 (Wix.com Ltd.) records for us — when a visit starts (including the page that sent you), a “still here” signal about once a minute, visit length, the page path, and feature events such as opening the studio, publishing a track, sharing, and using the help center (never the words you type). If you are signed in, they are linked to your account ID. They start from your next page load after you accept, stop as soon as you reject, and are never sent when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
Your account: separately from cookies, signing up stores your name and email on your MashKey account (held by Base44) so you can sign in. That is part of the service, not analytics, and is explained in the privacy section.
Google Fonts: our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts (Google LLC). Your browser sends your IP address and basic browser information to Google's font servers when a page loads; Google Fonts does not set cookies (developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy).
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page, or the analytics switch in Settings, to accept or reject analytics at any time. Rejecting turns Google Analytics off, deletes its cookies on mashkey.com, stops Base44 product analytics events and removes its visit ID. We ask again after 12 months.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the same choice asks you to confirm that you are 16 or over, or that a parent or guardian agrees — kept on this device as mashkey_age_ok. Until it is answered, analytics stays off and the AI tools stay unavailable.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a rejection and never load Google Analytics unless you later opt in yourself.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). MashKey works the same either way.
